Brunch and texture-blocking

(Over-sized crochet buttoned dip top - by Bardot, Palm Print harem brights - designed by vucouturegirl, Faux fur barrel bag - by Bardot, Suede fallens - by Siren shoes, YSL Arty oval ring)

Yet another pair of harem pants pulled out from my drawer that's just overwhelmingly filled with them! There's really nothing more I prefer than a large variety of style of harem pants lately. Not only are they ridiculously comfortable, but they can look hella chic for any occasion no matter what style you're looking to work with.

I didn't realise how much I really loved my palm print harem brights. If anything - I'm sort of kicking myself a little for not wearing them sooner. And to be honest, I have yet to touch these since designing them two years back. So technically it would have to be my very first time I've actually taken these harems out for a spin since!

Layering had always been the vital style rule for winter, but this season I've really been taking an interest into working with plenty of textures with layering. And who said you needed to abide by conventional styling of shade layering? I'm really loving combinations of busy patterns and brights incorporated into winter this year paired with bold, yet very simple accessories. In summer, I fell in love with joys of colour-blocking, this season I'm all over texture-blocking!

It was only appropriate to bring out this comfort outfit over the weekend while out on a late bruncheon date with Tim at Forbe's and Burton (www.forbesandburton.com.au) in Darlinghurst... the pleasures of indulging in a delicious organic all-day breakfast meal with one of the top coffee's in Sydney, before ending the afternoon enjoying a lovely sunset over in Walsh Bay right at the foot of Sydney's iconic Harbour Bridge in the arms of my better half.

A laid back outfit, fit for a laid back afternoon.
